Spaghetti Bolognese is one of those dishes that I will never get tired of and it is a major comfort dish of mine. Before I joined Slimming World, I never used to make my own sauces, I would just grab a ready-made jar from the supermarket. But since joining Slimming World, it has helped me to experiment and create my own sauces from scratch and I love it! Putting together different seasonings and ingredients to create a delicious sauce excites me so much (probably more than it should).

I love a good dinner but sometimes I don't always feel like cooking a meal from scratch after a long day. So what I love to do is batch cook. I batch cook sauces and meals and then put them in the freezer so they are ready to defrost and eat whenever I need them. Hardly any effort required yet you still get a tasty dinner!

-  5% Fat Beef Mince
- Frylight
- Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Tomato PureƩ
- 1 tsp of Worcestershire Sauce
-  A sprinkle of Salt and Pepper
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1 tsp of Oregano
- x2 Beef Stock Cubes (crumbled not mixed with water)
- 40g Reduced Fat Cheese (Healthy Extra A or 6 syns)

Everyone has different preferences when it comes to seasoning so alter the seasonings to your preference!

1. Place a large frying pan on a medium heat and a spritz of Frylight oil.

2. Reduce the heat and add the onion, fry until the onion is translucent.

3. Increase the heat back up to medium and add the tin of chopped tomatoes, tomato pureƩ, Worcestershire Sauce, garlic, oregano, parsley and beef stock cubes. Stir well and leave to simmer for
45 minutes (until the sauce becomes thick and rich).

4. When the bolognese is nearly finished, cook the spaghetti and grate the cheese.

5. Once the sauce is thick, serve the spaghetti and top with the bolognese and cheese.
