A few weeks ago, I was invited to an event at Crystal Rose Skin Clinic with my friend (Melissa - a fell blogger!). The event involved cocktails, mocktails and demonstrations of the CACI non-surgical treatments. The clinic is led by the lovely Rosy Boulton who is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and worked in the health service for over 10 years. Rosy combines her medical background with her passion for offering the latest in skin care technology and treatments in order for her clients to receive the best results. Crystal Rose Skin Clinic offers a variety of services and treatments such as IPL Hair Removal, IPL for Acne and Rosacea, Alumier MD Professional Peels, Anti-Aging and more!

After the event, Rosy kindly invited Melissa and I to a Bloggers Brunch event at Crystal Rose Skin Clinic a few weeks later, and of course, we accepted. Rosy had been so welcoming, professional and informative during the event that we were both intrigued to find out more about Rosy and Crystal Rose Clinic.

Upon arrival, Rosy greeted us with a warm welcome, and then spoke to us about herself, the clinic and a few of the services and treatments on offer. We then had some delicious nibbles and drinks (tea and bubbly!) before Rosy started the demonstrations and treatments.

First up for a treatment was Kerry(who I had met for the first time and she was so lovely!) Kerry had the Alumier Glow Peel. Kerry's skin looked amazing! It was so radiant and dewy. Some people are put off by the idea of Face Peels, mostly due to horror stories of peoples skin literally hanging off - but this should not happen if it is done properly and without the use of harmful chemicals. Before Rosy proceeded with Kerry's Glow Peel, she told Kerry to mark her 'pain' on a scale of 1-10 and throughout the Glow Peel, Rosy asked Kerry to mark her 'pain' (although it's not so much pain). Kerry marked it at a 6 at most and the pins and needles feeling pretty much calmed down as Rosy was treating other parts of Kerry's face!

The Glow Peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol which creates a multipurpose resurfacing solution which is effective in minimising the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation issues, discolouration and uneven skin tone. This formula exfoliates dead skin cells and stimulates cell renewal. The Glow Peel can be customised to suit an individual's needs, this is done by the strength and by a number of layers.

Melissa then had her treatment which consisted of an Ultrasonic Peel, Microdermabrasion and Hydrating Facial Mask. Like face peels, people are often put off by the idea of a microdermabrasion. But Melissa described it as 'tingly' at most! Melissa's skin looked incredible afterwards! The microdermabrasion exfoliates and deep cleanses the skin which is combined with LED light (blue and red!) therapy for tissue repair and healing. Light therapy can also be used to treat sun damaged skin and acne scarring!

I then had my treatment which was the AlumierMD Express Facial. The chair had a lush heated blanket and Rosy was so gentle (I almost fell to sleep). After Rosy had cleansed my skin she applied a face mask which smelt beautiful - notes of citrus and papaya! The face mask was left on for 10 minutes and during this time Rosy massaged my head (this is where I nearly fell to sleep). I thought that this was such a special addition to the facial! The facial only took 30 minutes which is perfect for those who need a deep cleanse but don't have a lot of time! After the facial was complete, my skin felt amazing and super refreshed!

I highly recommend Crystal Rose Skin Clinic. Rosy is so lovely and makes you feel relaxed and at home in her beautiful clinic.
